Brief info

Dr. Meghan Harris graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She continued her education at Florida International University where she obtained a second Bachelor's degree in Nursing and graduated Summa Cum Laude as the co-Valedictorian of her class. Dr. Harris worked as a nurse in Miami before moving to Tampa for medical school. She completed medical school, Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. In 2018, she became the Medical Director of the primary care unit at Tampa General Hospital.

Dr. Harris is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Her interests include: care of critically ill patients, hospital quality improvement projects, HIV management, and antimicrobial stewardship. She joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2016.
