Brief info

Dr. Moise Carrington graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon graduating from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Atlanta Medical Center. After completion of this program, Dr. Carrington moved to Tampa, Florida to pursue a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

Dr. Carrington is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Her interests include: HIV and Hepatitis C management, care of critically ill ICU patients, antibiotic stewardship, HPV screening and the prevention of anal cancer, and clinical research. She also enjoys giving lectures on disease-related topics to healthcare professionals and community organizations. Dr. Carrington holds an academic appointment as Affiliate Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. While practicing in Atlanta, Georgia, she was Chair of the Infection Prevention and Control Committee at Atlanta Medical Center as well as Co-chair of the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee. In the Tampa Bay area, she was the Associate Medical Director of the Pinellas Care Clinic from 2016 until 2017. She also served as Chief of Medicine, Vice Chief of Staff and Chair of the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee at Tampa Community Hospital. Dr. Carrington is a member of several professional associations including: the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. She joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2013.
