Dr. Abbigail J. Chandler graduated from medical school at the Medical College of Ohio. She relocated to Tampa to pursue a residency in Internal Medicine, and later a fellowship in Infectious Diseases, at the University of South Florida. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Chandler holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Chandler joined Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay in 2007.
During her training, Dr. Chandler received many awards -including “Infectious Disease Fellow of the Year”. She also belongs to several professional organizations including: the Infectious Disease Society of America, the Florida Medical Association and the University of South Florida Internal Medicine Community Service Club. Some of her professional interests are HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, travel medicine, the care of immunosuppressed patients, and community acquired infections. Dr. Chandler is passionate about improving access to high quality medical care.
